A Family-Owned Nursery Since 1985
More than 40 years of growing, serving, and sharing our love of the Arizona desert.
40 Years of Family-Owned Nursery Experience
Back in 1985, George Pingitore established the Nursery location after several years of working landscaping jobs without having his own plant material or staging yard available. At the time, the site felt like it was right in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by raw, untouched desert long before the community built up around it. Driven by a passion for quality materials, he decided on opening this specialized wholesale nursery to serve local professionals.
Over the years, that remote wholesale operation expanded into a vibrant, destination-worthy retail garden center supplying some of the most unusual cacti and succulents from around the world. George’s profound expertise and visionary eye for desert spaces even earned him the prestigious Master of the Southwest award from Phoenix Home & Garden magazine in 2004.
Sharing Our Love of the Desert
As the business grew, it evolved far beyond plants to include a massive curated selection of pottery, metal yard art, artistic glass, and water fountains. In 2021, George opened the eclectically named Lulu's Town Dump in Cave Creek, which focuses heavily on pottery, metal yard art, glass, and other hard goods. The journey continues to grow with the highly anticipated opening of Art in Stone in late 2026, a new venture dedicated exclusively to stone sculptures, unique minerals, and other rustic art pieces.
